Program Title: 24/7 Crisis Outreach of Suffolk County Inc.

Descriptive Title: Part Time Outreach Nurse Practitioner

Salary: $40.00 per hour

MIIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

To qualify for this position, you must be New York State credential as a Nurse Practitioner AND a have three years psychiatric experience. Must be BLS certified.

Must belong to the American Nurse Credentionaling Center (ANCC)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Nurse Practitioner AND two years of psychiatric emergency intervention experience.

 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Provide assessments regarding the physical and psycho-social status of the client through an interview process and the health history. Have knowledge of agencies and support referrals to people in crisis within Suffolk County.

On-Call during assigned days and shift. Required to handle emergency situations.

Required to exercise your independent judgment during each crisis intervention. Must have excellent communication and interviewing skills.

 

Extensive documentation is required. Must posses a New York State Driver’s license.

Responsible for all follow-up interventions. Reports to Hotline supervisor and Program Director.
